As I was listening to Morning Edition on NPR, this refreshing story caught my ear. When I found it on NPR.gov, I discovered that it was one of the top five e-mailed stories today. Others find value in the story as well. Consider this post on the NPR blog: "Thank you for bringing this incredible story to NPR. I viewed the clips and hope that some day I will be able to see this show in person."

ReplyDeleteI think that Drama makes humans happy. Especially animal and human's relationship is very a popular topic in the drama.
ReplyDeleteWhen we see(watch) the drama, we feel happy and sad. Because drama is the story of ours.
Though drama is fiction, it is touching.
Many people said that 'These time is out of move.' The world has many problems and people feel sad. But we can get courage when we see the drama.
I saw the video clips and I have to recognize that this show is excellent! I have to say I am not a live theater follower. That means I am not the one who can give the best evaluation of this production. However, the way that the puppeteers work with the horse puppets is really outstanding. In the video, I hardly noticed that the horses were not real, but they look like that. The way that they move the puppets and the sound they produce is incredible. I have no words to describe that. Probably "War Horse" could win any award or it could be a great hit. This will depend on the people who like this kind of show and if they rate it. If I will have the chance to rate it, from one to ten I will give it seven. That's not bad! The reason, I prefer the "seventh art"; movies and TV series. Every weekend I rent one or two movies and enjoy them in my small "home theater" in my room. I feel so excited with the technology that producers apply in each film. Soon, I will go to the theater to watch a movie in 4d. If I have the opportunity to describe my feelings about it in this blog, I will. For now, don't take my opinion as rejection of "live theater". I hope you can watch the show and transmit your experience to us.
ReplyDelete I love musical plays. I went to see “Cats”, “Nanta” (I think it is known as “Cookin” in the English), “The Nutcracker” in Korea, and “Chicago” in New York. It wasn’t a lot, but those experiences are unforgettable. Going to the live theatre is much better than watching movies at the cinema. It feels like that I am actually integrated into that story and communicates with actors. When I went to see “Cats”, one of main cats came to me and danced in front of me. I received a spotlight, and that was one of the best moments in my life. Live theatre gives greater memories than movie theatre. I think this is a very interesting and refreshing idea! I saw many puppet shows before, but I never saw any huge puppets like that. I want to see how they actually perform with those huge puppets! I hope they come to perform here also!

ReplyDeleteI Really like this article I have seen the Horse they look like real and I M Wondering that they might be a real horses But they are Clowns of them look like as same with the help of Techniques, I think every one should go and see the Drama . Because now a days u gladly find shows like that?? i think every one should watch it and enjoy the Drama.
ReplyDeleteI am not used to going to the live theater, but I think “War Horse” is a fantastic play. I would like to go see it. It is terrific how the actors give their soul to make this real, like you are in the play. They can reproduce all the sounds that horses make so real, and it is exciting. I didn’t watch the musical yet, but listening gave the idea how wonderful the musical is. I believe that “War Horse” will win any award and will be a huge hit. I do not have words to describe the emotion that I felt when I watch the videos, and I can imagine if I really have the opportunity to see it. I would like to spend my evening doing a different thing, like watching this musical. It will be wonderful, I am pretty sure.

ReplyDeleteMy honest and personal opinion is that I never give opinions about themes that I do not know very well. It is my case about this article that tells about a book called “War Horse” that was adapted as a drama and presented in New York in 2010.
The pure truth, this is a boring theme for someone, like me, that never has read this book. I repeat again, this is my particular case, I am very sorry about that, but, I also promise that very soon I will read this book. It is my word of honor.
After watching the video about "War Horse" the only word that I can use to describe this piece of art is brilliant. It is with tears in my eyes that I can say how happy I am that we human beings are full of intelligence and some of us know how to use it. I am very proud of the whole crew of this musical. Everyone was great and perfect. I did not find anything that I didn't like about it.
ReplyDeleteThe musical talks about the separation of a boy and his horse during World War I . All the actions are amazing, the sounds are very realistic; every single move is very well done. It is fascinating how good people can get with trainning. The puppets sound , look and move like real horses. I am very pleased from what I saw. This is going to be a huge hit all over the World. It is doing so good that Dreamworks will have the famous director Steven Spielberg to make a movie about it. My expectation about the movie is high and I am sure I won't be disapointed. I love movies, but what I want is to watch the musical in a theater.
Many humans think that horses are only for hard-work, entertainment, and most badly used as transportation in war. Albert treated his horse as a partner and true friend. When his dad sold it to the army, he decided to follow his horse and bring it back to England. What amazed me about the play “War Horse” is the horse’s emotions and movements. If I didn’t read the article about the play I would have thought the horse was real!

I liked the commentary about the courage and faith of the boy. He has a dream that one day he will find his horse.

I think this play will win many awards. The people worked a lot and invested much time in this play. The people deserve awards. I want to see “War Horse” because I have never seen a play with puppets. I think it is very interesting. I want to see the horse close to me and hear the sound clearly. I want to bring my family with me and enjoy this play together. I think this is more exciting because the play will be in New York. I don’t have many experiences in the theater, but I like it a lot. I didn’t have many opportunities to go to the theater in my life because this is a very expensive activity. Yet, I think the theater is very important for culture. It depends, a great evening of entertainment can be many things. For me a great evening can be going to the cinema with my kids. We watch a movie and eat together. Another great evening can be relaxing at home. I also like to spend time with my friends. All of these activities are fun for me.
